The Bruning-Davenport-Shickley Eagles football and volleyball teams are having a successful post-season run.

The fourth seeded football team advanced to the round of eight in the Class D2 football playoffs when they defeated number 13 seed Lawrence-Nelson 54-26 at Bruning Friday. The win propelled the undefeated Eagles into Friday’s quarter final match against 12th seed Central Valley at Bruning Friday. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m.

The volleyball team earned a berth at the state Class D1 championship tournament when they defeated Johnson-Brock in a three-set sweep at Shickley Saturday....
