The Rock Hills High School boys basketball team dropped their season opener, 37-26, against Pike Valley at Mankato. The game was the opening round of the T-Bird Invitational Tournament, The Grizzlies played Clifton-Clyde, at Clyde, Tuesday, with game results unavailable at press time.

Cooper McDill scored 18 points to lead the Grizzlies in scoring. Eli Vance dropped through three points. Cam Ward and Ethan Wirth hit for two points each. Ethan Kenworthy sank a free throw for one point.

Rock Hills will play a yet to be determined opponent in the final round of the T-Bird Invite at Concordia Saturday. The Grizzlies host St. John’s-Tipton at Mankato Tuesday. The Grizzlies will return to action in 2023 after the holiday hiatus.
