SHS boys wrestling team in action

The Superior High School boys wrestling team competed in a dual match against Oakland-Craig, at Oakland, Friday. Oakland-Craig won the match 36-30. The team traveled to Hooper, Saturday, for the Dan Mowinkel-Logan View Invitational. Superior finished in 12th place, with 33 points, in the 17 team field.

Holden McDonald won his 126 pound weight bracket match at Oakland-Craig. Hayden Neeman was victorious at the 132 pound level. Colt Laaker lost his 138 pound match. Cooper Sheely at 144 pounds, Aaron Allgood, at 152 pounds and Cooper Ehlers, at 160 pounds, all earned six team points each for a win. Kyler Boyles, at 170 pounds, Christian Osweiller, at 220 pounds and Henry Griljava, at 285 pounds, all lost their matches.

McDonald picked up 14 team points with his third place finish at Logan view at 120 pounds. Neeman was good for 126 team points with his third place finish at 132 pounds.

Laaker competed at 138 pounds. Sheely competed at 145 pounds. Allgood earned two team points at 152 pounds. Boyles earned one team point at 138 pounds. Osweiller wrestled at 220 pounds. Griljava competed at 285 pounds.

The Wildcats return to action Friday, Dec. 30, at the Fillmore Central Invitational at Geneva,
