L-N boys basketball goes 1-1

Bayln Bargen gets his shot away for Lawrence-Nelson over a McCool Junction defender at Nelson Friday.

The Lawrence-Nelson boys basketball team downed the Giltner Hornets at Giltner, 46-38, Thursday. The McCool Junction Mustangs rode into Nelson Friday, to play the game postponed from Tuesday because of inclement weather conditions. Lawrence-Nelson was edged out, 46-43, by the McCool Junction team. The Raiders traveled to Mankato, Tuesday, for a contest with Rock Hills High School. Game results were unavailable at press time.

Neither team mustered much in the way of offense in the first quarter as the Raiders trailed Giltner 4-3. The game remained close as the Raiders held a slim 14-13 lead...
