Robert Drudik

Robert Eugene Drudik, the son of Frank and Agnes (Mazour) Drudik, was born Dec. 2, 1946, in Nelson, Nebraska. He died Jan. 18, 2023, at the Brodstone Healthcare at Superior, Nebraska, at the age of 76 years, 1 month, 16 days.

Robert attended country school northwest of Nelson, Nelson Public School and graduated from Nelson High School. He served in the Army National Guard from December 1965 until his discharge on Jan. 3, 1972. Robert lived on the family farm until his marriage to Marcia Rae Lanham on Dec. 27, 1965, in Nelson. They made their home in Nelson for four years before moving to a farm 1/2 miles from the original family farm. This is where they raised their four children, Lorrinda, Angela, Jason and Lesli.

Robert farmed all his life, which was his life. He enjoyed bowling and snow skied several times. He loved following his children in their activities and sporting events, and then following his grandchildren. Family was important to him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Agnes.

Survivors include his wife, Marcia; his children: Lorrinda (Chris) Kohmetscher of Lawrence; Angela Drudik of Kearney; Jason (Tara) Drudik of Nelson and Lesli (Andy Sole) Biltoft of Nelson; 10 grandchildren: Megan (Logan) James, Amber (Calvin) Rupe, Kristin (Lane) Steinhauer, Colton Biltoft, Peyton Drudik, Rylee Kohmetscher, Karigan Drudik, Trevor Biltoft, Brooklyn Kohmetscher and Sydney Biltoft; eight great-grandchildren: Hensley and Halynn Steinhauer, Landry, Jensyn and Leighton Rupe, Huxley, Braysen and Gracelynn James; three sisters Margaret Wrage of North Platte; Ellen (Mike) Buresh of Davenport; and Loretta (Tim) Lane of Markesan, Wisconsin; many nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members and a host of friends.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 28, from the St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Superior, Nebraska, with the Rev. Ferdinand Boehme officiating. Peggy Cassell will be the lector and Jace Hoelting, altar server.

Music will be "Amazing Grace," "Be Not Afraid," "You Are Mine" and "Let There Be Peace," with Stephanie Thayer as the soloist and Mary Statz as her accompanist.

Pallbearers will be Megan James, Amber Rupe, Kristin Steinhauer, Colton Biltoft, Peyton Drudik, Rylee Kohmetscher, Karigan Drudik, Trevor Biltoft, Brooklyn Kohmetscher and Sydney Biltoft. Honorary pallbearers will be Hensley and Halynn Steinhauer, Landry, Jensyn and Leighton Rupe, Huxley, Braysen and Gracelynn James;

A private family burial will be in the Nora Cemetery near Nora, Nebraska.

Memorials are suggested to go to the family.
