The Rock Hills High School girls basketball team downed Lincoln 47-30 in their opening round Northern Plains League Tournament game at Lincoln. The Osborne Bulldogs handed the Grizzlies a 63-98 loss at Lincoln last Monday.

Rock Hills bounced back with a 45-29 win over Thunder Ridge at Lincoln last Tuesday to advance to the fifth place game against Sylvan-Lucas Friday.

Rock Hills fell to the Sylvan-Lucas Mustangs 45-37 At Lincoln Friday to finish in sixth place in the Northern Plains League Tournament.

Danica Frost poured through 22 points to lead the Grizzlies offense against Thunder Ridge. Hannah Simmelink, Halle Mizner and Lauren Whelchel contributed seven points each. Selena Luong scored two points. Mizner and Whelchel hit the boards for 10 rebounds apiece. Austyn Groote and Luong nabbed three rebounds apiece. Grace Ayers took away two rebounds. Simmelink nabbed a rebound.

Whelchel netted 20 points to lead the Grizzlies scoring against Sylvan-Lucas. Frost tallied eight points. Bethany Simmelink added five points. Luong and Hannah Simmelink scored two points each. Rock Hills hosted Tescott at Mankato Tuesday with game results unavailable at publication time. The team travels to Wilson for a game Friday. The Grizzlies will face Sylvan-Lucas again Tuesday at Sylvan Grove.
