Twenty-two Nelson Rubies joined for lunch to celebrate Valentine's Day on Feb. 14. Those in attendance were Jodene Clabaugh, Barb McCartney, Brenda Lynch, Jaynie Spirk, Mickey Vork, Sally Uhrmacher, Charlene Schultz, Sue Van Skiver, Terri Oltmans, Donna Gillan, Trish Rasmussen, Teresa Walton, Evie Olson, Karen Harrington, Carol Eckles, Sandra Sterkel, Cindy Adamson, Marcia Buresh, Lois Hamel, Bonnie Jensen, Ruth Epley and DeAnna Tuttle. After everyone declared they could not eat another bite, Ruth Epley led the group in Valentine's Day Riddles and a game of 'Would You Rather' to judge how well the group knew the members of the planning committee that included Terri Oltmans, Carol Eckles, Karen Harrington, Barb McCartney, Evie Olson and Ruth Epley. Those attending were surprised to learn they all would rather drink hot cocoa than a love potion, nobody wanted to give speech about love, most preferered a message in a bottle to finding a shiny rock, and Terri would rather float on a cloud than walk on a rainbow.
