RHHS girls advance in post-season play

 


The Rock Hills High School girls basketball team scored 76 points in their win over Lakeside, 76-57, at Downs, Friday. This was their highest scoring game of the season. It also marked the first time since 2010 that the team has won a post-season game. They advanced in sub-state 1A-D1 play to the semi-final round.

The Grizzlies spurted out to a 33-17 lead at the half and never looked back.

Danica Frost led the scoring barrage with a career high 36 points including four three point baskets. Lauren Whelchel produced 22 points. Bethany Simmelink dropped through 13 points for the Grizzlies. H...
