The Lawrence-Nelson track teams will compete at the Deshler Invitational today (Thursday).

The Raiders will travel to Superior Tuesday for the Superior Invitational.

Lawrence-Nelson did not compete at the postponed Sandy Creek meet. Thursday.

The Raiders participated in the Franklin Invitational last Tuesday.

The girls team finished in seventh place, with 24 points, in the nine team field of Loomis, Hastings, Deshler, Gibbon, Heartland Lutheran, Silver Lake, Red Cloud and Franklin.

The boys team took sixth place with 44 points in the 10 team field. Blue Hill did not field a girls team.

Finishers in the first six places are awarded points on a sliding scale.

Erik Wheeland competed in the 100 meter dash with a time of 13.32 seconds.

Devyn Zikmund topped the field in the 200 meter dash with his time of 25.17 seconds. Tyson Kotinek posted a time of 27.5 seconds.

D. Zikmund led the field in the 400 meter dash with his time of 55.53 seconds. Aiden Zikmund finished the event in 1:01.92. Sawyer Cox had a time of 1:04.53.

Cody Funk listed a time of 5:49. 76 for the 1600 meter run.

Funk had a time of 12:53,01 for the 3200 meter run.

Carter Griffis held down fifth place in the 110 meter hurdles.

Griffis took sixth place in the 300 meter dash with his time of 48.17 seconds.

The 4 x 100 meter relay team of Wheeland, Cox, Griffis and A. Zikmund were in fifth place with their time of 53.16 seconds.

The 4 x 400 meter relay team of Kotinek, A. Zikmund, Funk and D. Zikmund finished in fifth place with their time of 4:10.41.

Cox recorded a distance of 31'8.5" for the shot put. Rocky Miller has a toss of 29'11". Wheeland had a best toss of 29'7".

Cox landed the fourth place points for the discus with his throw of 114'7.5". Wheeland had a throw of 105'3". Nathan Pofahl had a best throw of 72'10".

Devyn Zikmund, Lawrence-Nelson, placed third in the long jump at the Franklin meet on Tuesday with a distance of 17'11.75".

Funk cleared the bar at 5'2" in the high jump.

D. Zikmund took third place in the long jump with his distance of 17'11.75". Kotinek covered 16'2.75".

Kotinek scored the third place points in the triple jump with his combined distance of 37'4.75". Griffis was in sixth place with his distance of 35'8.75". A. Zikmund turned in a distance of 34'3.25".

Sydney Biltoft recorded a time of 14.75 seconds for the 100 meter dash.

Jessica Sole earned a fourth place finish in the 1600 meter run with her time of 7:01.33.

Sole claimed second place in the 3200 meter run with her tim of 14:44.1.

Biltoft crossed the finish line of the 100 meter hurdles in first place with her time of 17.97 seconds. Biltoft was in sixth place in the high jump with a bar clearing leap of 4'6".
