SHS track at Sandy Creek Invite

Kyler Boyles heads for the finish line of the 100 meter dash for Superior at the Sutton Invite.

The Superior High School girls and boys track teams will compete at the Deshler Invitational today (Thursday).

The Wildcats host the Superior Invitational at the Superior Community Track Tuesday.

Superior was scheduled to compete at the Sandy Creek Invitational last Tuesday. The meet was rescheduled for Thursday because of a security incident at Sandy Creek Tuesday.

The girls finished in second place, with 115 points, in the six team field of Central City, Doniphan-Trumbull, Sutton, Sandy Creek and Heartland.

The boys team finished in sixth place with 23.75 points.

The top six finishers in individual events earn team points.

Ella Gardner wrapped up the first place points in the girls 100 meter dash with her time of 12.9 seconds. Khloe Mundorf took second place with her time of 13.49 seconds. Sadie Cornell earned fifth place points with her time of 13.87 seconds. Sadie Rempel had a time of 13.93 for a seventh place tie.

E. Gardner took first place points in the 200 meter dash with her time of 26.3 seconds. Mundorf held fourth place with a time of 28.27 seconds. Cornell had a time of 29.68 seconds.

Ava Kirchhoff listed a time of 1:21.97 for the 400 meter dash.

Faith Butler took fourth place in the 1600 meter run with her time of 6:22.95.

Mundorf earned the second place points in the 100 meter hurdles with her time of 18,23 seconds.

Cora Schnakenberg finished in sixth place in the 300 meter hurdles with her time of 58.74 seconds.

The 4 x 100 meter relay team of Rempel, Ariana Huesinkvelt, Mundorf and Cornell earned the first place points their time of 53.7 seconds.

The 4 x 400 meter relay team of Butler, Halle Bargen, L. Kirchhoff and A. Heusinkvelt were in fifth place with a time of 4:47.58.

Rempel grabbed the first place points in the pole vault with her bar clearing effort of 10".

E. Gardner landed the first place points in the long jump with her leap of 17'1". A. Heusinkvelt held fourth place with her leap of 14'7".

Cornell recorded a jump of 13'.25". Ava Kirchhoff had a best jump of 13'. Bargen listed a best effort of 12'10".

A. Kirchhoff posted a combined distance of 25'./75.

A. Heusinkvelt topped the shot put field with a toss of 34'5.5". Mia Gardner had a best toss of 29'10.5". Madison Heusinkvelt registered an effort of 25'.5". Tova Lestander landed a toss of 21'1.5".

M. Heusinkvelt nailed down second place in the discus with her throw of 87'3". M. Gardner held third place with her throw of 85'5". Lestander had a throw of 50'4.5"

James Love listed a time of 12.33 seconds for the boys 100 meter dash. Aiden Humphries produced a time of 12.47 seconds. Dayne Clark finished with a time of 12..86 seconds. Aaron Allgood had a time of 12.96 seconds. Cristian Avalos had a time of 13.16 seconds.

Allgood crossed the finish line of the 200 meter dash with a time of 25.75 seconds. Avalos was in with a time of 27.58 seconds. Dylan Edwards had a time of 28.34 seconds.

Jacob Meyer listed a time of 59.92 seconds for the 400 meter dash. Declan Miller laid down a time of 1:10.29.

Tanner Theis recorded a time of 2:25.47 for the 1600 meter run. Lincoln Sander had a time of 2:32.06.

Humphries took the third place points in the 110 meter hurdles with his time of 18.43 seconds. James Love followed in fourth place with his time of 18.54 seconds. Sander was done with a time of 20.08. Kyler Boyles had a time of 20.3.

Boyles had a time of 52.51 seconds for the 300 meter hurdles.

Ella Gardner will finish in first place for Superior in the 100 meter dash at the Sutton Invite.

The 4 x 100 meter relay team of Humphries, Meyer, Allgood and Love were in third place with their time of 47.7 seconds.

The 4 x 400 meter relay team of Theis, Sander, Uvslokk and Humphries had a fourth place finish with their time of 4:15.21.

Allgood covered 17'2" in the long jump. Meyer had a leap of 17'2.5". Sander covered 16'2". Boyles best jump was 15'1". Edwards covered 14'7".

Luke Jameson had a toss of 41'2" to take fifth place in the shot put. Henry Griljava had a 36'11" best effort for the event. Clark had a toss of 31'2.5". Riedar Vier had a toss of 29'7". Chris Chavez listed a toss of 29'6".

Clark had a throw of 104'10" in the discus. Griljava posted a throw of 101'7.5". Jameson landed a throw of 100'3.5". Miller posted a throw of 80'11". Christian Osweiller finished with a throw of 66'1".
