The Rock Hills High School boys and girls track and field teams competed at the Del Wicks Invitational meet hosted by Deshler High School Thursday.

The girls team finished in fifth place, with 66 points in the nine team field of Thayer Central, Meridian, Dorchester Public, Deshler, Lawrence-Nelson, Superior and Friend.

The boys team was in fourth place with 61 points.

Bethany Simmelink took home second place points in the 100 meter dash with her time of 13.25 seconds. Grace Ayers was in fourth place with a time of 13.53 seconds. Halle Mizner had a time of 14.06 seconds.

B. Simmelink added a second place finish in the 200 meter dash with her time of 27.96 seconds. Ayers had a time of 30.96 seconds.

B. Simmelink was in third place in the 400 meter dash with her time of 1:07.84. Hannah Simmelink registered a time of 1:08.26 for a fourth place finish.

H. Simmelink crossed the finish line in second place for the 800 meter run with her time of 2:48.

Peyton Zadina had a time of 8:23.33 for the 1600 meter run.

The 4 x 100 meter relay team of Mizner, Savannah Coil, B. Simmelink and Ayers finished in first place with their time of 55.94 seconds. Faith Reinert had a best toss of 28'3.5" for the shot put.

Reinert had a best throw of 73'5" for the discus.

Mizner landed a second place finish in the high jump with her bar clearing effort of 4'8".

Lauren Whelchel cleared 8'6" for second place in the pole vault.

H. Simmelink covered a distance of 13'11.5" in the long jump.

Carsyn Vizner had a leap of 12'2". Trinity Ruthstrom landed a jump of 9'1".

Coil was in fifth place in the triple jump with a combined distance of 30'11.5". Vizner covered 26'.75".

Camden Ward took fourth place points in the 100 meter dash with his time of 11.87 seconds.

Kobi Bowers finished fifth in the 800 meter run with his time of 2:24.01. Coe Neilson had a time of 2:35.03.

Bowers was in third place in the 1600 meter run with his time of 5:31.78. Tristyn Reynolds crossed the finish line with a time of 6:05. 27.

Reynolds brought home third place points in the 3200 meter run with his time of 12:55.39.

Spencer Lindberg carried a time of 49.68 seconds for the 300 meter hurdles.

The 4 x 100 meter relay team of Isaiah Ridgeway, Ward, Cooper McDill and Nate Meyers nailed down first place with their time of 47.12 seconds.

Aaron Underwood was in third place in the shot put with his toss of 38'2". Eli Vance had a best throw of 27'7".

Wyatt evert was in sixth place in the discus with his throw of 102:8". Underwood had a best throw of 91'8". Lindberg had a throw of 68'2".

Ward cleared 5'8" for second place in the high jump.

Meyers nailed down second place in the long jump with his leap of 19'11". McDill had a 17'11" effort. Ridgeway posted a 16'9.75" jump.

Ward covered a distance of 39'8.25" for a first place finish in the triple jump.

The Grizzlies travel to Osborne Friday for the Osborne Invitational. The junior varsity teams will compete at Tescott Monday.
