The Lawrence-Nelson High School golf team earned another first place finish with a team score of 343, when they led the 14 team field at the 18-hole Sandy Creek Invitational played over Clay Center’s Crooked Creek Country Club course last Tuesday.

The Raiders topped Sutton, Sandy Creek, Exeter-Milligan, Red Cloud, Doniphan-Trumbull, Fillmore Central, Thayer Central, Superior, Bruning-Davenport-Shickley, Blue Hill, Heartland Lutheran, Centennial and High Plains Community.

Toby Kotinek led the Raiders with his round of 79. Krayton Kucera shot a round of 81. Connor Janda carded a round of 87. Bayln Bargen finished with a round of 96. Wyatt Hajny turned in a round of 101. The four lowest individual scores make up the team score.

Kotinek took fourth place in the individual standings. Kucera was awarded the eighth place medal. Janda was in 12th place.

The Raiders competed at the Blue Hill Invitational Tuesday. The match was played over the Red Cloud Golf Club course.

The team visits Hastings today (Thursday) to compete in the Hastings St. Cecilia Invitational being played over the Southern Hills Golf Club course.
