The Superior High School boys and girls track and field teams competed at the Southern Nebraska Conference meet at Fairbury Saturday.

The girls team was in fourth place, with 64 points, in the 11 team field of Fairbury, Milford, Centennial, David City, Sutton, sandy Creek, Thayer Central, Wilber-Clatonia, Fillmore Central and Heartland Community.

The boys team finished in 11th place with two points.

Points are awarded to the first through sixth place finishers, while some events conduct preliminary heats to advance the eight top performers to the final heat.

Ella Gardner finished in second place in the 100 meter dash with her time of 12.55 seconds. Sadie Cornell ran a preliminary heat of 13.58 seconds. Ariana Heusinkvelt had a time of 13.72 seconds.

E. Gardner took second place in the 200 meter dash with her time of 26 seconds. Khloe Mundorf finished seventh with her time of 28.09 seconds. Ava Kirchhoff ran a preliminary heat of 30.62 seconds.

Faith Butler took sixth place in the 400 meter dash with her time of 1:04.74. A. Kirchhoff had a time of 1:18.93.

Butler earned sixth place in the 1600 meter run with her time of 6:14.54. Brooklyn Grabast had a time of 7:07.32.

Hailey Blecha recorded a time of 15:14.98 for the 3200 meter run.

Mundorf was in fifth place for the 100 meter hurdles with her time of 17.5 seconds.

Cora Schnakenberg ran a 56.99 second 300 meter hurdles heat.

The 4 x 100 meter relay team of Halle Bargen, Mundorf, A. Heusinkvelt and Schnakenberg finished third with their time of 52.89 seconds.

The 4 x 400 meter relay team of Butler, Laci Kirchhoff, Bargen and Schnakenberg had a time of 4:46.09.

A. Heusinkvelt was atop the shot put event with her distance of 35'4". Madison Heusinkvelt had a best distance of 31". Mia Gardner had a best toss of 29'4.5".

Atlee Kobza held fourth place in the discus with her throw of 107'10". M. Heusinkvelt was in sixth place with her throw of 101'3". M. Gardner hit 96'8".

Jordan Duncan was the sixth place finisher in the pole vault with her height of 8'6". Butler cleared 7'6".

E. Gardner secured the first place points in the long jump with her leap of 19'2". A. Heusinkvelt landed fifth place with her distance of 16'1.5". Bargen covered 13'11.5".

Gardner snagged the first place points for the triple jump with her combined distance of 39'9". A. Kirchhoff covered 27'2".

James Love ran a 112.08 second preliminary heat in the boys 100 meter dash. Aiden Humphries had a 12.16 second heat.

Aaron Allgood listed a 25.22 second preliminary heat in the 200 meter dash. Thomas Mathis posted a time of 27.98 seconds. Declan Miller ran a 31,25 second heat.

Kyler Boyles finished the 400 meter dash in 1:02.63. Mathis turned in a 1:14.02 effort. Miller had a time of 1:14.7.

Tanner Theis had a time of 2:23.82 in the 800 meter run.

Dereck Kirchhoff had a time of 6:53.71 for the 1600 meter run.

Love finished in fifth place in the 110 meter hurdles with his time of 17,2 seconds. Humphries was in seventh place with his time of 18.28 seconds. Boyles had a preliminary heat time of 21.28 seconds.

Lincoln Sander finished the 300 meter hurdles with a time of 51.59 seconds.

The 4 x 100 meter relay team of Allgood, Jacob Meyer, Humphries and Love listed a time of 51.58 seconds.

The 4 x 400 meter relay team of Allgood, Theis, Meyer and Sander finished with a time of 4:00.24.

Luke Jameson had a best toss of 39'.5" in the shot put. Henry Griljava had a 35'2.75" toss. Christian Osweiller had a best toss of 31'7.5".

Jameson had a best throw of 116'5" for the discus. Dayne Clark turned in a 104'5" throw. Griljava had a throw of 95'6".

Meyer cleared the bar at 10'6" in the pole vault.

Allgood covered 18'1.5" in the long jump. Sander traveled 16'11". Dylan Edwards covered 13'6".

Mathis listed a combined distance of 33'3" for the triple jump. Boyles had a combined distance of 32'6.5". Edwards had a distance of 32'5".

The Wildcats compete in their final regular season meet at the Sutton Invitational today (Thursday).
