Girls finish third in district competition
Ella Gardner sprinted to a first place finish in the 100 meter dash and a trip to the state meet for Superior at the District C-7 track meet qualifying at Thayer Central High School, Hebron, Thursday.

The girls teams finished in third place, with 88.5 points, in the nine team field of Hastings St. Cecilia, Milford, Doniphan-Trumbull, Tri County, Sutton, Thayer Central, Wilber-Clatonia and Fillmore Central. The boys finished in 10th place, with two points. Southern did not enter a girls team.
