RHHS track at state meet at Wichita

 

The Rock Hills High School track and field teams qualified several members for the state championship meet. The state meet was held Wichita State University's Cessna Stadium Friday and Saturday. Team members who competed are (left) Cooper McDill, Camden Ward, Nate Meyers, Hannah Simmelink, Tristyn Reynolds and Kobi Bowers. Meyers finished in third place in the long jump.

Several members of the Rock Hills High School track and field team competed at the state championship meet held Friday and Saturday at Wichita State University's Cessna Stadium in Wichita.

Nate Meyers earned six team points in the long jump with his third place finish. He had a best attempt of 21'3.25". Cooper McDill finished in 11th place in the filed of 16 competitors. He had a best attempt of 19'2.75".

The 4 x 800 meter relay team of Tristyn Reynolds, Camden Ward, Cooper McDill and Kobi Bowers finished in 13th place with their time of 9:09.23.

Hannah Simmelink finished in 11th place with her time of 2:32.73 in the 800 meter run.

Nate Meyers heads for a soft landing and a third place finish for Rock Hills in the long jump at the state track and field championship meet at Wichita Friday and Saturday.
