Scott Effenbeck

 

Scott Alan Effenbeck of Belvidere, Nebraska, the son of Leland and Edith (Dolezal) Effenbeck was born Feb. 18, 1968 in Alliance, Nebraska. He died life July 5, 2023, at Thayer County Health Services in Hebron, Nebraska at the age of 55 years.

Scott grew up and attended school in Deshler, Nebraska, graduating from Deshler High School with the Class of 1986.

He married Elaine Rust July 1, 1989, at the Lutheran Church in Superior, Nebraska. This union was blessed with the birth of three children.

Scott worked on the family farm helping with the milking and what ever else needed to be done. Later he worked for Jerry Sterba welding, Feedlot Fencing and Thayer County Department of Roads before starting his own business, Midwest Dirt Works, doing excavating for various people in many counties. He also demolished numerous buildings around the county.

He enjoyed being out in God's great creation, hunting, fishing and being outdoors. He attended his children's sporting events, took them fishing and hunting, but most of all loved time with his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father.

He is survived by his mother, Edith Effenbeck of Hebron; sons, Cody Effenbeck and Dana of Deshler, Garrett Effenbeck and wife, Nicole, of Hebron; daughter, Autumn Effenbeck and husband, Austin Calvert, of Illinois; sister, Kristin Timmerman and husband, Kyle, of Hebron; grandchildren, Addison, Kipton, Blakelyn, Liam, Easton Effenbeck, Bennett and McCoy Calvert, nieces, nephews and many friends.

Following Scott's wishes, no visitation, he was buried Thursday, July 6, 2023 at the Belvidere, Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, July 14, at the Belvidere Church in Belvidere. Special music by Joe and Sue Dolezal. Honorary casket bearers are grandchildren.
