RHHS volleyball

It was a tiring and busy weekend for the Rock Hills Grizzlies volleyball team. The Grizzlies traveled to Solomon for the Solomon Invitational Saturday. The team played five matches in one day as they won two and lost three. The Grizzlies had played two matches Tuesday at their home triangular match. They were swept by Osborne 24-26 and 11-25 in two sets. The Grizzlies handed Thunder Ridge a three-set, 17-25, 26-24 and 25-22.

The Grizzlies endured a marathon day Saturday when they played five matches. They opened with a two-set sweep, 25-20 and 13-25, over Peabody-Burns. They followed up with a two-set sweep of Tescott, 13-25 and 8-25. The Solomon Gorillas handed the Grizzlies a two-set loss, 22-25 and 16-25. Eli-Saline swept Rock Hills, 21-25 and 17-25, in two sets. Elyria Christian closed out the Grizzlies day with a two-set, 18-25, 25-17 and 8-25. The Grizzlies visited Tescott, Tuesday, for a triangular match with Southern Cloud and Tescott with match results unavailable at press time.

Halle Mizner led the Grizzly killers against Osborne with five. Faith Reinert added four kills. Alexandra Fogo had one kill.

Mizner slashed through five aces. Reinert contributed two aces. Bethany Simmelink scored with an ace.

Dacey Beck cleaned up with eight digs. Ally Beck followed with seven digs. Simmelink popped up six digs. Mizner and Reinert accounted for two digs each. Taygen Meier had a dig,

Mizner accumulated 15 kills at the net against Thunder Ridge. Meier added three kills. Reinert claimed of two kills. Grace Ayers and Fogo had a kill each,

Simmelink laced through three aces. Ayers, D. Beck and Mizner each scored with an ace.

A. Beck was the lead digger with 15. Mizner popped up 10 digs. Simmelink arrived at nine digs. D. Beck was responsible for seven digs. Ayers, Fogo, Meier and Reinert had two digs apiece.

Mizner stood strong at the net against Peabody-Burns with 14 kills. Meier, Reinert and Peyton Zadina had two kills. Fogo had one kill.

Reinert lined through three aces. Ayers and D. Beck each scored with an ace.

A. Beck swept up 18 digs. Mizner claimed six digs. Simmelink came through with five digs. Ayers added two digs while Meier had one dig.

Mizner hit for nine kills against Tescott. Fogo landed two kills. Simmelink and Zadina had a kill apiece.

Simmelink lashed through five aces. D. Beck and Reinert contributed two aces each. A. Beck and Mizner each scored with an ace.

A. Beck led the diggers with seven. Mizner claimed six digs. Simmelink came up with four digs. Ayers, D. Beck and Reinert added three digs each. .Alivia Lindberg had two digs.

Mizner registered five kills against Solomon. Fogo and Meier had one kill apiece.

Mizner and Simmelink sliced through four aces each. A. Beck picked up 22 digs. Simmelink listed 11 digs. D. Beck and reinert popped up 10 digs each. Mizner flew in for nine digs. Meier came through with eight digs. Ayers had two digs while Fogo had one.

Mizner recorded the only five kills for Rock Hills against Eli-saline. A. Beck, D. Beck and Simmelink each scored with an ace.

D. Beck cleared up 12 digs. A. Beck added 10 digs. Simmelink was good for nine digs. Mizner landed eight digs. Reinert jumped in with seven digs. Mizner looped up five digs. Ayers sent up three digs. Fogo and Lindberg claimed two digs each.

Mizner led the Rock Hills killers against Elyria Christian with 10 kills. Meier took care of three kills. Lindberg, reinert and Zadina had a kill apiece.

Simmelink rammed through three aces. D. Beck scored with an ace.

The Rock Hills diggers out did themselves as they recorded 101 digs for the match. A. Beck shoveled out 28 digs. Mizner stepped in with 24 digs. D. Beck put away 16 digs. Simmelink responded with 13 digs. Meier topped off nine digs. Reinert took care of eight digs. Zadina added two digs while Lindberg finished with one dig.

Rock Hills will travel to Tescott Saturday for the Tescott Invitational. The Grizzlies host a triangular match at Mankato Tuesday with Lakeside and St. John’s-Tipton.
