SHS volleyball

It was a quiet week for the Superior High School voilleyball team as they won their lone match against the Heartland Huskies with a three-set sweep, 25-11, 25-16 and 25-20, at the high school gymnasium Thursday.

The Wildcats visited Sandy Creek, Tuesday, with match results unavailable at press time.

Reagan Meyer netted 15 kills against Heartland. Teegan Duncan stepped in with nine kills. Cayce Barry added four kills. Halle Bargen and Madison Heusinkvelt accounted for three kills apiece. Ariana Heusinkvelt and Cora Schnakenberg listed one kill each.

Bargen slid through three aces. A. Heusinkvelt and Meyers each scored with an ace.

Bargen and Duncan popped up 14 digs each. Faith Butler contributed nine digs. Mia Gardner and Meyers accounted for seven digs each. A. Heusinkvelt posted six digs for the match. Barry, Lilly Edwards, M. Heusinkvelt and Schnakenberg had one dig apiece.

Superior travels to Milford, Monday, for the opening round of the Southern Nebraska Conference Tournament. The tournament concludes on Thursday.
