There is a new team competing for Lawrence-Nelson High School. Wrestling returns after a two-decade hiatus. Wrestlers had competed with Sandy Creek as part of the USD5 program. With the dissolution of that district, wrestling returns as a stand alone sport for the Raiders.
Adam Theer serves as the head coach of the team.
The team has four freshmen, a junior and a senior on the roster.
Senior class member Nathan Elledge will provide the leadership for the team. He is the sole member with varsity experience.
Kolton Johnson represents the junior class.
Freshman class team members are Leslie Corman, Gus Harrison, Grayhm Beck and Brandt McLaughlin.
The team opens their 2023 season at the Harvard Invitational Saturday.
