SHS girls basketball opens season

The 2023-24 Superior High School girls basketball opened their season Monday evening when they hosted a jamboree against Southern Valley. Chrissy Ehlers and Kirch Utecht coach the team. Players are (back row, from left) Evah Ehlers, Reagan Meyers, Maddi Bargen, Thalia Grijalva, (middle row) Taren Zimmerman, Raven Large, Ariana Heusinkvelt, Ava Kirchhoff, Olivia Smullins, Olivia Eitzmann, (front row) Sadie Cornell, Rayne Biltoft, Lilly Edwards, Madison Heusinkvelt, Halle Bargen and Faith Butler.
It's that time of the year when volleyball morphs into basketball for the Superior High School girls basketball team. The team opens their 2023-2024 season today (Thursday) at Sutton. They entertain the Republic County Buffaloes at the high school gymnasium Saturday. The Fairbury Jeffs visit Superior Tuesday.
Senior class representatives on the roster are Madison Heusinkvelt and Lilly Edwards.
The junior class contributes Sadie Cornell, Halle Bargen, Rayne Biltoft and Faith Butler.
Ariana Heusinkvelt and Ava Kirchhoff make up the sophomore class contingent.
