L-N wrestling team makes debut

The Lawrence-Nelson High School wrestling team made their debut at the Harvard Invitational Saturday.

The Raiders competed against 14 teams from Johnson County Central, Red Cloud-Blue Hill, Sutton, Republic County, Alma, Nebraska Christian, Meridian, Riverside, Shelton, Sandy Creek, Harvard, Kenesaw, Superior and Hastings St. Cecilia. Lawrence-Nelson finished in 14th place with 13 points.

Grayhm Beck and Augustus Harrison competed in the 175 pound weight bracket. Harrison finished in eighth place while Beck finished in 13th place.

Brandt Mc Laughlin was in eighth place in the 190 pound weight bracket.

Nate Elledge took third place honors in the 285 pound weight bracket. He was awarded 13 team points.

The Raiders visit Osceola for the Osceola Invitational Saturday. They are schedules to compete at the Axtell Invitational Tuesday.
