The Rock Hills High School boys basketball team opened the season with a 53-46 loss to Pike valley in the opening round game of the Lakeside Preseason Tournament at Downs Friday.
Cooper McDill led the Rock Hills ofense with 24 points. Tristyn reynolds kicked in seven points. Justin Luong and Eli whelchel contributed five points each. Cam Ward dropped in three points. Eli Vance hit for two points.
McDill hit the boards for seven rebounds. Reynolds pulled down four rebounds. Luong accounted for three rebounds. Vance and ethan wirth added two rebounds apiece. Ward had one rebound.
Rock Hills played Lakeside at Downs Tuesday with game results unavailable at press time.
The Grizzlies play Stockton at Downs Friday. They take on Thunder Ridge at Downs Saturday.
