Boys lead by five in third quarter

Wildcat boys played an awesome game at home Monday night against the Smith Center Red Men. They scored nearly twice a many points as their season average, while playing strong defense.

For a portion of the third quarter the Cats lead by five.

Eleven, three point shots propelled the Wildcat score, while the Red Men scored nine, three-point shots.

Cody Butler once again led the Cats in scoring with a season high. Mason Korb followed.

When the game was over, the Wildcats lost to the Red Men with 52-58. However, spectators reported it was the great game to watch and the best the Cats had played all season.

To add to the evening festivities, the drill team performed the routine they plan to take to state competition.

The game was the last home game of the season for the Cats. They are to play Lawrence-Nelson Friday evening.
