Raider Track Teams compete at Franklin Invitational

Cody Funk runs part of the 1600 meter relay at Deshler several weeks ago. He contributed to the second place finish of both the 1600 and the 400 meter relay teams in addition to earning points in the 300 meter hurdles.

The 2024 track season seems to be getting off to a slow start with the weather, but then on the occasion of the Franklin Invitational, members of the junior class had other commitments they could not give up and missed this track meet. The event saw 13 teams from the area attend.

BOYS: The boys' team scored nine points, placing 12th out of the 13 teams.

Individual results:

100 M. Dash: No points, but both Caleb Griffis and Brandt McLaughlin has personal bests.

200 M. Dash: No points but Ace Wulf and Brandt McLaughlin had personal bests.

400 M. Dash: No points but Jackson Williams had a personal best.

800 M. Run: Jace Hoelting and Aaron Church had personal bests.

3200 M. Run: No points, but Leslie Corman and Gus Harrison had personal best.

300 M. Hurdles: Cody Funk a personal bests.

Long Jump: Cody Funk: 6th, 18'2.5", a personal best

Ace Wulf contributed points for the Lawrence-Nelson Raiders in a couple of the relay events at the Deshler Track Meet several weeks ago. In this picture he is competing in the discus.

Triple Jump: Jackson Williams, 2nd, 37'2"; Jace Hoelting had a personal best.

Shot Put: Gus Harrison had a personal best.

Discus: Caleb Griffis a personal best.

GIRLS: The Lady Raiders scored 27 points, placing them as the 8th place out of the 13 teams.

3200 M. Run: Jessica Sole: 2nd, 15:08.18.

300 M. Hurdles: Sydney Biltoft, 2nd, 52.17.

400 M. Relay: L-N 6th, 58.28: Sydney Biltoft, Paige Huston, Hanna Skinner, Natalia Wehrman.

1600 M. Relay: L-N, 5th, 4:55.27: Sydney Biltoft, Kynnedy Beale, Hanna Skinner, Paige Huston.
