The Deshler Dragons ended the Lawrence-Nelson boys basketball team regular season with a 41-36 loss at Deshler Friday. The Raiders opened sub-district D2-6 play, Tuesday against Nebraska Christian at Grand Island Central Catholic, Grand Island. Game results were unavailable at press time. Lawrence-Nelson was the number two seed with Nebraska Christian being the number three seed. Friday's loss left the Raiders with a 12-9 regular season record.

Logan Menke was the top Raiders scorer with 15 points. He grabbed two rebounds. Blake Janda and Trevin Kotinek hit for six points each while each pulled down eight rebounds apiece. Coy Ceder collected four points and a rebound. Cole Troudt scored three points. Keith Miller netted two points and grabbed two rebounds. Trevor Biltoft nailed down three rebounds.

The Raiders progress through sub-district is dependent on the outcome of Tuesday's game. Should they win, they would play Thursday for the opportunity to advance to the district finals. The Raiders have no realistic chance of making state based on wildcard points so they must play their way in.
