SHS football team wins final game of 2020 season

The final Superior High School football game of the 2020 season was played at home Friday.

The Superior High School team won their game 20 to 13 over the Hastings St. Cecilia Hawks. Coach Heusinkvelt said, "The game was a fantastic display of how far we have come as a team. I am proud of all the players and the hard work they put in this year. We and two points away from a five to two season. We still have a lot of work to do, but now we have set a standard of the level of play we need to be at. I want to thank all the seniors for the hard work they have put in the last four years."

The following statistics are not complete as the normal stats person was guarantined because of COVID and the camera person did not get all of the game filmed.

Partial stats:

Elijah Heusinkvelt: eight tackles, 212 rushes for 82 yards.

Seth Schnakenberg: seven tackles.

Matt Colgrove: three tackles.

Payton Christiancy: six tackles.

Jordon Brown: six tackles.

Jacob Meyer: four tackles.

Zeke Meyer: two tackles.

Clayton Morris: five tackles, 12 rushes for 51 yards.

Aiden Humphries: one tackle, Collision Player of the Game.

Anders Webber: three tackles.

Dane Miller: 15 rushes for 90 yards, three tackles, passed six times and completed one pass for 29 yards.

James Love: one catch for 14 yards, five rushes for 18 yards, one rushing attempt for two yards.
