RHJHS hosts Highway 36 Invite

The Rock Hills Junior High School track and field teams hosted the Highway 36 Invitational track and field meet at Mankato Thursday.

Competitors were entered into A, eighth grade, and B, seventh grade, groups. The teams were at the Southern Cloud Invitational Tuesday.

Aaron Underwood finished in sixth place for the boys team in the 100 meter dash with his time of 14.57 seconds in the A group. Isaac Deichen was in fourth place, 14.78 seconds, with Justin Luong in fifth place, 15.99 seconds, in the B group.

Luong took second place in the 200 meter dash B group with the time of 33.13 seconds. Treyton Reynolds also competed.

Camden Ward took second place, 1:04.6, with Cooper McDill in third with the time of 1:04.81, in the A group of the 400 meter dash. Josh Osheim was in second place in the B group with the time of 1:03.19. Luong was in third place with his time of 1:12.63.

Kobi Bowers held second place in the 800 meter run for the A group with a time of 2:33.17. Tristyn Reynolds was in third place with the time of 2:59.21. Whitley Frost was in second place in the B group with his time of 2:55.2. Noah Eakins finished in fourth place with the time of 3:12.3. Blake Fultz also competed.

Bowers finished in second place in the A group 1600 meter run with the time of 5:36.

Tristyn Reynolds earned first place points in the A group 3200 meter run with his time of 13.15. Frost was in first place in the B group with his time of 13.25.97.

Spencer Lindberg took fifth place in the A group 100 meter 30” hurdles with a time of 22.92 seconds. Eli Whelchel also competed. Nate Meyers was in first place in the 33” A group 100 meter hurdles with his time of 16.58 seconds.

Meyers was in first place in the 200 meter A group 30” hurdles with the time of 29.39. Lindberg was in third place in the 36” 200 meter hurdles with the time of 36.88 seconds.

The 4 x 100 meter A group relay team of Derrik Case, Isiah Ridgeway, Meyers and ward took first place honors with their time of 52.2 seconds. The B group team matched the first place finish with the time of Deichen, Luong, Osheim and Lindberg with their time of 58.36 seconds.

The 4 x 200 B group relay team of Eakins, Blake Fultz, Treyton Reynolds and Ty Vance finished in seventh place.

The 100-100-200-400 meter A group team of Eli Vance, A. Underwood, McDill and Bowers held own first place with their time of 1:59.76. The B group team of Eakins, Fultz, Vance and Nelson Underwood were in fifth place with the time of 2:38.78.

A. Underwood took first place in the A group shot put with his toss of 37’9”. Whelchel, N. Underwood and Ethan Wirth competed in the B group.

A. Underwood competed in the A group discus throw. Wirth, N. Underwood and whelchel participated in the B group discus throw.

Camden Ward finished in third place in the A group high jump at 4’8”. Bowers competed in the event. Deichen nailed down first place in the B group high jump at 4’4”.

Isiah Ridgeway held first place in the A group pole vault with a bar clearing 8’6”. McDill was in fifth place in the A group long jump at 15’8”. Tristyn Reynolds was in sixth place at 15’6.5”. Lindberg took fifth place in the B group long jump with a leap of 13”4” Whelchel also participated.

Tristyn Reynolds took third in the A group triple jump with the combined distance of 31’1”. McDill finished in fourth place with a distance of 30’2.25”. Wirth took part in the B group event.

Faith Reinert was the third place finisher in the girls A group 100 meter dash with her time of 15.81 second. Taygen Meier and Trinity Ruthstrom also competed. Savannah Coil and Amber Wilden took part in the B group.

Meier was in fourth place in the A group 200 meter dash with the time of 37.53”. Wilden was in sixth place in the B group with the time of 35.38.

Coil was in third place in the B group 400 meter dash with her time of 1”17.06 Chloe Rothchild was in sixth place with a time of 1:20.48.

Alivia Lindbeg was in fifth place in the B group 100 meter hurdles with her time of 36.72 seconds.

The 4 x 100 meter A group relay team of Meier, Allison Ost, Ruthstrom and Reinert took first place honors with their time of 1:00,83.

The B group 4 x 100 relay team of Coil, Karleigh Davis, Halle Mizner and Wilden earned second place honors with their time of 1:01.17.

The A group 4 x 200 meter relay team of Becca evert, A. Lindberg, Ost and Rothchild finished in third place with the time of 2:27.57.

The 100-100-200-400 meter A group team of Jayce Cady, Ost, A. Lindberg and Rothchild took sixth place with their time of 2:35.31.

Ost took part in the A group shot put. Evert was in second place in the B group with her toss of 23.5.5”.

Reinert was in fifth place in the A group discus with a throw of 63’7”. Evert and Rothchild competed in the discus.

Wilden was in fourth place in the B group high jump at 3”6”.

Meier was in fourth place in the A group long jump with her leap of 11’9”. Ruthstrom also competed in the event. Bethany Simmelink took sixth place in the B group with her jump of 12’3”. A. Lindberg also competed.

Ruthstrom covered 20’4.25 inches for fifth place in the A group. Simmelink was in first place in the B group triple jump with her 25.6.5” jumps. Coil took third place with her distance of 24’7.75”.

The Grizzlies travel to Lincoln today (Thursday) for the Lincoln Invitational. The teams are at Beloit Tuesday for the St. John’s Invitational.
