The Lawrence-Nelson High School football team will be looking to improve upon last season’s 1-6 record. The Raiders host the High Plains Community Storm at Lawrence, Friday, to open the 2021 season. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.

Head coach Brian Blevins, along with asssistant coaches Jerad Niederklein, Preston Hild, Decker Brown, Kevin Wheel and Ramsey Hurt, have the players motivated for the season.

The team returns several experienced players who will look to lead the team to the playoffs.

Senior members of the team are Wyatt Brockman and Jacob Swift.

Representing the junior class are Emilio Pano, Krayton Kucera, Erik Wheeland, Evan Jacobitz, Tyson Kotinek, Devyn Zikmund, Toby Kotinek, Keaton Mazour, Wyatt Hajny, Chad Holcomb and Trev Mueller.

Sophomore class members of the team are Conner Janda, Nolan Ostdiek, Jacob Kathman, Rocky Miller, Roy Davidson and Baylin Bargen.

Freshman class team members are Carter Griffis, Cody Brockman, Clay williams, Aidan Zikmund, Wyatt Baker, sawyer Cox, will Schaeffer and Carson Vaughn.

Student managers are Will Dougherty, Jack williams, jace Hoelting, Cody Funk and AJ Koehler.
