The Jewell County Commissioners Brent Beck, Steve Greene and Keith Roe met last Monday.

The commissioners reviewed an email from Doyle McKimmy, Jewell County Hospital administrator, regarding a letter he sent to Senator Moran’s office concerning the Vaccine Mandate.

Cindy Becker, health administrator, reviewed the budget and discussed the unexpected expenditures and reimbursements because of COVID-19 and personnel changes. She provided an updated on COVID-19 cases.

Sheriff Jacobs said they received grant funds to purchase safety equipment from participating in the State of Kansas’ Drive Safe Program.

Joel Elkins, general superintendent, discussed personnel, equipment repairs and road maintenance.

The commissioners went into executive session four times with no action taken on any of them.
