Love my crazy life

March 10, 2022

Things here are getting sort of back to normal. I’m still struggling to find my muse. He took off, and with him took my motivation. This back and forth weather isn’t helping either, one week, it’s like spring has sprung, and the next, we are back to winter. I’m done with winter, but according to the weatherman it’s not quite done with us! I hear rumors of eight to 10 inches of the white stuff for mid-week. I know we could use the moisture, but a nice three-day soaking drizzle at 60º would work too.

This past Friday, we had to be in Lincoln for an appointment. We noticed folks gathered on the overpasses holding flags on the way home, so I asked George to pull off. I’m so glad we did. Part of the freedom convoy was to be driving through the area, and these people were out to show their support. I’m happy to have been a part of that, no matter how small. Whether or not you agree with what they are doing, you have to admit it takes some guts to stand up for your beliefs in such a way.

Jacob has a bad case of senioritis. He’s always been too busy to sit still for long. I’m surprised we made it this far. LOL! When he was little, we didn’t have a daycare in the area, so I enrolled him in preschool very young. His preschool teacher said he was bored and had learned everything she could teach him and more. So I enrolled him in school as early as possible; in fact, his birthday was the cutoff for enrollment. He is the youngest in his class. In kindergarten, the teacher suggested I hold him back a year. I was so confused with the suggestion because she had just told me how well he was doing. She thought another year would help him mature a bit and sit still in class. I’m so glad I didn’t take her advice because he has never learned to sit still. LOL!

Well, that’s about it for this week. If you plan to be out, make sure to put on the layers. I’m afraid it’s going to be another week of mother nature cramming four seasons into one day again. So stay warm, stay cool, stay dry, X’s & O’s.
