The finish earned them a place at the state Class C championship match to be played Monday and Tuesday over the Elks Country Club course at Columbus.

The team once again showed their true mettle when faced with adversity, The team was in fourth place at the end of nine holes. The first three teams qualify for the state match. The team went out and played the back nine with determination and finished 16 strokes in front of the fourth place team.

The Superior team is a wonderful success story. The girls are in their second year of play and have two appearances at the state level to show for their efforts. They truly embody the team concept with unconditional support for each other both on and off the course. Their parents have selflessly encouraged their participation.

The team is forward looking as they have a goal of nothing less than winning it all. The story of the little engine that could comes to mind. Wherever they place, they have major accomplishments to be proud of.
