The Superior Express -

The Couples Summer Golf league met in Nelson at the Elk Creek Country Club for a relaxing fun night. This week everyone teed off from the ladies tee boxes and then played alternating shots. Golfers had the option to putt either hole.  This turned out to be rather challenging for some teams. Craig German golfed a 33 by himself since his regular partner was unable to come.    Josh and Christina Harwell and Joe and Jenny Harwell both came in with a low score of 41.

Richard and Verlene Watson and Chuck and DeAnna Tuttle both took a 56 for high score.  The most over went to Josh and Christina Harwell for taking a 9 on the par 4, hole 1; the Watsons who took a 9 on the par 4, hole 8; and the Tuttles who took a 10 on the par 5, hole 4.   

Golfers then decided to continue meeting on Friday evenings around 6 to 6:15 as long as the weather permits. This is open to anyone and everyone who wants to join the fun. It is not an organized league.
