Harvest Moon Gala Committee prepares for virtual event

September 17, 2020

Planning for the 2020 Harvest Moon Gala on Saturday, Oct. 3 is underway and committee members are preparing for the campaign launch this coming Saturday. The launch will include a video debut which will be available on the Brodstone Memorial Hospital Facebook page, Youtube channel and the http://www.bidpal.net/hmg2020 event website. Along with

the video launch, drawing tickets for this year’s gala will go on sale. Tickets will be sold for two weeks, with the winner chosen the night of Oct. 3.

For more information, contact Heather Erickson, foundation director, or a committee member. More details will be available on the event webpage starting Saturday.

Although it is a virtual event, the committee wants people to enjoy a meal while tuned in to the event. Superior Bowl will be serving a Harvest Moon Special available as a To-Go meal with the convenience of curbside pickup. Proceeds go to the BMH Foundation Harvest Moon Gala.

Tune into the Gala Kickoff broadcast at 6 p.m. The broadcast will be available on all of the above social media outlets. Browse the silent auction items http://www.bidpal.net/hmg2020 until 9 p.m., from the comfort of your couch.

Committee members are working to finalize silent auction items this week in order to properly recognize donors. Monetary donations can be made throughout the next few weeks via the http://www.bidpal.net/hmg2020 event website or by contacting Heather Erickson, 402-410-0096 or herickson @brodstone.org. All monetary donations being made via mail to the hospital can be made out to Brodstone Memorial Hospital Foundation.

As event day gets closer, the Gala Committee continues to be reminded of the overwhelming support of the communities that Brodstone serves. Support from individual donors and businesses near and far has been received already and the committee is looking forward to a fun, successful virtual event. As a reminder, the proceeds from this year’s event will go to the development of the Brodstone Memorial Hospital Healing Garden. The garden will be a tranquil place of renewal and healing for patients and visitors alike. Patients undergoing infusion treatments will have a view of the garden from their infusion suites, families visiting their loved ones will be able to get fresh air in the garden, new parents can take a stroll with their added bundle of joy during their stay and patients recovering from injury or surgery will benefit from the open-air environment.
