IMPROVEMENT . . . Sometimes judging how much a team improves over a season is a tough job to do. Even in running events such as a cross country event, differences in the course lay-out can make a significant difference. However, when everyone on the team cuts seconds to minutes off their times, a person can be pretty sure everyone is getting better. And then, to have three team members earn a medal and the team place second in the conference meet, you know everyone has worked hard and has improved over the season. That was the difference between the first place winner and the second place runner-up at the Twin Valley Conference Cross Country Meet last Thursday held at Red Cloud.
The Co-op team between Lawrence-Nelson and Sandy Creek performed their best at the meet and Coach Fox noted: "many of the boys ran personal best times. It was and exciting day, Rowan earned his first ever first place medal. Logan tied his career best finish by finishing third and Sean ran an incredible race and received his first career medal."
