Love my crazy Life

I found a book and remember now why I don’t read so much anymore. I get so caught up in them that the time gets away from me. Last night, I thought I would just read for an hour and go to bed. Two nights in a row, bedtime has come and went without my noticing. I love getting lost in the pages.

Things with the pool are going well this year. That makes me nervous! LOL! If we could just get the water to warm up, it would be almost perfect. Opening weekend is going to be chilly, but maybe not quite as bad as last year.

The Money Pit is still the money pit. As I tell Marty every week when he asks how my house is coming, I say, “It’s still a house.” We are taking a break from the renovation and catching up with the things we have neglected. This past weekend George replaced the fuel pump in the pickup, and I sat freezing on the patio, waiting to be his go-fetch-and-carry if needed. I did my best to help get the bed off, but we called in reinforcements. I am happy to say the old gal is up and running, and George got our pile of limbs hauled off!

Unfortunately, I don’t have any good stories for you this week. The boy is visiting his dad, and things are pretty quiet here. Well that is except for the baby birds living in our eves. We didn’t get that vent cover on, so we have babies in the kitchen wall once again. Noisy little things. Better than bats, I suppose. LOL!

I spent so long praying for rain, and now that we are getting rain, I’ve realized I should have been more specific and prayed for warm rain. I came down this morning, and it was 60º in the house. Call me a wuss, but that’s too cold! I’m all bundled up like it’s January again. X’s & O’s.
