Technology . . .

It is either a “God-send” or the demon from hell.

I contend that it is great as long as it works.

It has become so common place that we all rely on it without even knowing it.

Since most of Nebraska is experiencing a pretty severe drought, I find myself looking at the radar from the Weather Service more and more. More than once this year I’ve heard others make a remark similar to what I’m seeing. That is: “the storms or rain events seem to be coming right at us, but then they split and go north or south of us.”

We know this because technology has allowed us to see it on our radar screens provided by the Weather Service. Before “Technology” we didn’t know what we missed.

I got to wondering just how much rain we’ve received this year and looked for info on the NRD web site. (More technology we didn’t have just a few years ago.)

I compared this year with the last two, to date. Figures following town names are rainfall total from Jan. 1 each year up to 5-8-each year for 2023, 2022 and 2021.

Lawrence: 4.25 – 6.3 – 12.8

Nelson: 3.84 – 4.82 – 10.9

Hastings: 4.39 – 5.8 – 16.6

Deweese: 4.39 – 6.6 – 12.3

Blue Hill: 4.17 - - 11.9

Superior: 2.48 – 3.8 – 9.0

Oak: 1.00 – 3.2 – 7.3

I guess with technology we know that rainfall has been short for some time, but are we any better off for knowing that little bit of info?

I was going to start this week with my problems with the national media and the Liberal establishment that seems to control it. However, I got sidetracked by the lack of rain in the area.

I like to read newspapers and I get a lot of my information from them. I also watch a fair amount of TV (both FOX and the 3 major networks) and also get info from them.

I am amazed how much the three major networks are alike. For example: since the Supreme Court reversed the ‘Roe v. Wade’ decision concerning abortions the national Liberal media has made sure they want to believe the ‘right’ to an abortion was something in the U. S. Constitution the Supreme Court was taking away from women.

We hear how ‘protestors’ are at the homes of the Supreme Court Judges and how terrible it is that women in some states now have to drive to another state to kill her baby.

However, we never hear about the following in the national media. The following comes from The Heritage Foundation:

“As of May 2, there have been at least 85 attacks on pregnancy resource centers and 152 attacks on Catholic churches since the May 2022 Dobbs leak. Many of these buildings have been vandalized with threats such as, “If abortions aren’t safe, neither are you,” making the attacks incidents of suspected pro-abortion violence.”

One national story I never heard of until recently involves a group called: “The American College of Pediatricians (ACPeds).”

They have around 700 members who want the best for children. They exist to protect the unborn, affirm the scientific truth about gender and promote healthy families.

These doctors are asking the FDA to stop allowing chemical abortion drugs. Because of this, the Liberal Left has relentlessly targeted them.

The Liberal media has not written about both personal and professional attacks on the ACPeds.

The Liberal media works hand-in-hand with our present Liberal government. For example, the FBI seems to have been keeping an eye on “Radical-Traditional Catholics.”

I’m waiting for someone to explain that term (Radical-Traditional Catholics). It sounds like a contradiction of words. I don’t know of many Catholics who are radical. What they mean, I think, are the Catholics who like to attend the traditional ‘Latin’ Mass. They are probably some of the most conservative of all Catholics.

It seems that several people attending a Latin Mass in Virginia saw several cars driving through the parking lot and appeared to be recording the license plate numbers. This all happened after an FBI internal memo directed agents to develop sources in places of worship.

The above is very slim but it gives a little of an idea of what the Liberals are trying to do.

And, to think about it, our current president is controlled by these Liberals and it seems that he wants to be our next president after the 2024 election.

If that thought doesn’t scare you, you are missing something.
